I'm a wife and mom of two amazing kids who remind me every day just how quickly childhood flies by.
I've been an elementary school teacher for more than 20 years. Photographing kids is basically my second language.
If I'm not behind the camera, you'll probably find me swimming, biking, running, or training for my next triathlon.
My perfect morning starts with a hot cup of coffee before the rest of the house wakes up (my husband brings it to me).
My happy place is anywhere outdoors—Marin's rolling hills, redwood forests, the beach at sunset, or a quiet hiking trail.
I never mind when dogs join your session. They usually steal the show (and I'm completely okay with that).

I'm a Marin County family, newborn, senior, and branding photographer serving families throughout Marin, Sonoma, and the San Francisco Bay Area. More than anything, I believe photography should feel effortless. No pressure. No stiff posing. Just a relaxed experience where your family can laugh, play, connect, and simply be yourselves.
For more than 20 years, I've also been an elementary school teacher. That experience has shaped every part of the way I photograph families. I know how to connect with children of every personality—from the cautious toddler to the energetic preschooler to the teenager who insists they don't want photos. I meet them where they are, keep things moving, and create a session that feels more like an adventure than a photoshoot.
As a mom of two, I know exactly how quickly childhood changes. One minute you're rocking a newborn in the middle of the night, and somehow you're helping them pack for high school. Those ordinary moments—the hand squeezes, the belly laughs, the way your child still reaches for you—are often the ones we don't realize we'll miss until they're gone.
That's why I don't chase perfect poses. I look for genuine connection.
Whether I'm photographing your baby's tiny fingers during an in-home newborn session, your family running through the Marin hills at sunset, or a senior celebrating the next chapter of life, my goal is always the same: to create photographs that feel like your family—not just what you looked like, but who you were together.
Originally I'm from Wisconsin, but California has been home for most of my life. My husband and I settled in Novato while starting our careers, and it's where we're raising our two kids. When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me cheering from the sidelines at a baseball or water polo game, training for a triathlon, hiking local trails, or exploring another beautiful corner of Marin County.
I know life is busy. Between work, school, sports, and everything else on your calendar, planning family photos can feel overwhelming. That's why I've designed my experience to be as easy as possible—from wardrobe guidance and location recommendations to helping your kids feel comfortable from the moment we meet.
